"Be on Time" Chronicles entry 9/11/17

When you ride para-transit, your morning schedule must have the precision of an Indy 500 pit crew.
If you get in the shower past this time, you're in trouble.
If you get out of the shower past this time, you're screwed.
That's when you start amending your daily routine.
Skip the moisturizer
Brush your teeth when you get to work
As long as your hair is combed and you remember to put on pants and shoes, you're good.
Don't forget your work badge!
But if you race to the window at the appointed time and there's no vehicle in the parking lot, you can revisit your routine and accomplish skipped steps.
It's stressful, but do-able
A few examples:
Check the parking lot
Get to the bathroom and pee again.
Peer out the blinds
No car
Brush your teeth
Hurry to the window
Nobody's there
Take your morning medicine
Are they here?!
Nope
Look in the mirror again
Make sure your hair is decent and your jacket is on properly.
Did I hear something?!
YES!
Visual confirmation!
Grab your purse, food bag, keys
You have five minutes to get in the vehicle
Yes, that is a decent amount, but not if your time started three and a half minutes ago but you didn't know because you were in the bathroom.
They can make you wait thirty minutes or more, but you're only allowed five minutes before they can no-show you and move on
Which means no ride for you
GO!!
