Travis Kelce:
Perfect gentleman?
Abuser?
We don't know.
And is it our business?
IMO: it's not our business
That's Taylor's business
And her family and friends
What happened on the sidelines with Coach Reid was ugly.
Upsetting
Uncalled for.
But should one outburst, one unfortunately public display of anger in "the heat of battle," as the game of football is, define you? Your character? Label you for the rest of your life?
Look at what happened to Will Smith. One moment, unfortunately witnessed by millions, and a successful career and good guy status erased in the eyes of many.
This is what we do to our celebrities.
We hold them to impossible standards.
Follow them
Try to capture their every word, thought, move
Make them prisoners of our adoration
And then we're appalled when they don't live up to our unrealistic expectations.
Is fame worth it?
